If you have not been to the Newport Car Museum, this is your chance. "One of New England's most beloved attractions, the Newport Car Museum has over 100 cars constantly on display. The private collection (yes, it's one owner who likes to share the art of the car with the public) is displayed brilliantly in seven handicap accessible galleries: Ford/Shelby, Fin Cars, World Cars, Porsche, Corvette, Mopars, American Muscle. Award-winning films, era-appropriate music, impressive consigned artwork, Mid-Century Modern furniture, and a giant gift shop (some call it the eighth gallery) embellish the experience. Only minutes from Newport, R.I., this outing takes approximately 90 minutes (but you might want to stay longer) and is appropriate for all ages. It's affordable and offers free parking." We will meet at the Eastbound Ludlow Service Plaza on the Mass Pike at 8:00 am. We will leave by 8:15 am. The ride is about 2 hours. We will leave the museum around 12:30 pm and travel to Wright's Chicken Farm, 84 Inman Rd, Burrillville, RI, where we will have lunch. The cost will be $28.50 pp, which includes tax and tip. They request cash, no more than 2 credit cards for our group. We will be seated together.
